Arch Mcritty has over thirty years of Experience as an Architect in Liberia and abroad, successfully Designing and Managing Projects in Liberia and the the United States. He has been an active member of the LIA since 2008. His current sphere of professional services involves design-built services for a variety of clienteles in the sub-region and has been a mentor to several students in Liberia.

Arch Alex Massey

Interim Vice President

Arch Massey has worked in both priivate and public sector for over 35 years as an Architect in Liberia and the USA. His current practice in Liberia spans over 15 years. He is also an academician to whom many students owe their knowledge.

Elijah B. Karnley

Interim Secretary General

Arch Karnley has over 22 years in the industry, both the private and Public sector. He has worked as a Designer, Project Coordinator, and Project Architect in the US for many years, and served as managing partner for ASI and KAPE Designs in Liberia since 2013. He joined Government as a World Bank's Consultant as Urban and Community Planning Specialist for 3 1/2 years and was in subsequent year appointed National Zoning Officer by the President of Liberia. He taught Housing and Community Planning at the Graduate School of Regional Planning for 1 year.

Arch Jones has over 37 years delivering exceptional architectural services and training technicians. He was Chief Architect of the Ministry of Public Works many years ago. Mr. Jones has been in private practice over 28 years with projects covering a wide range of building types and diverse clientele especially the NGOs, Government, and private projects. He is the President of the Design Group Inc. a firm he has successfully managed for decades,

Arch Nancy Obi

Arch Nancy is an architect, an academician, and a business woman, the Prsident of MINA Liberia LLC. She is both a member of the Nigerian Institute of Architects and the Liberia Institute of Architects. She has practiced architecture in many countries in the the West Africa sub-region, particularly Liberia, Guinea and Nigeria.

Arch O'connor has over thirty years of Experience as an Architect in Liberia and abroad, successfully Designing and Managing Projects in Liberia and the Sub-region. He has been an active member of the LIA for nearly 20 years. He is the President/Managing Partner of AEP Consultant, a firm he has successfully managed for over 25 years.

THE ARCHITECTS' REGISTRATION BOARD (ARB)

COMPOSITION OF THE ARB:

The Board shall consist of nine (9) members, as follows: (a) Three members of the ‘Institute’, one of which shall be its current President; (b) The Minister of Public Works (MPW) or Representative of the Minister who is not an Architect or member of the Institute; (c) A representative of the Engineering Society of Liberia (EoSL), appointed by the Board of Directors of EoSL; (d) A representative of the Association of Liberian Construction Contractors (ALCC), appointed by the Board of Directors of ALCC; (e) The Minister of Commerce (MoC) or Representative of the Minister who is not an Architect or member of the Institute; (f) A representative of a private sector institution that is actively involved in the education and training of manpower for the infrastructure sector of Liberia; (g) A reputable locally resident individual of the Liberian Public. The Chairman of the ARB perpetually, shall be the sitting President of the Liberian Institute of Architects. The Co-chairman of the Board shall be the Minister of Public Works, R.L. or his / her Representative, who is not an Architect or member of the LIA. Please refer to the Act for all other information.
